I arrived as an artist through my heart, rather than via formal academic training. Fighting

to recover from a deadly illness, I found myself creating sculptures from found objects

and ordinary materials that are fused using simple fabrication methods. I use materials

and techniques that 'speak' to me, creating assemblage-style forms relating complex

physical, emotional and psychological issues. The universe is my university without

walls. The environs of St. Louis a live studio in which to explore and create. Absent

technical training, my work assumes an unconstrained approach and liberated sculptural
